Description

NorthQuest 575, or stabilized HPAA (Hydroxyphosphono Acetic Acid) is most commonly used as an organic corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in cooling water treatment programs. HPAA is a viscous, dark brown, 50% active solution that is soluble in water, ethylene, methanol, and 50% caustic soda. It is represented by the formula: C₂H₅O₆P. NorthQuest 575 is formulated with a stabilizing agent for scale and corrosion inhibition in more demanding and stressed industrial water treatment programs where higher temperatures and higher pH levels are prevalent.
