Description

Sodium Benzotriazole 40% Solution, or BTA40, is a colorless-to-pale yellow, liquid of 40% Sodium Benzotriazole Solution in water represented by the formula: (C₆H₄N₃Na). BTA40 is commonly used as a corrosion inhibitor for yellow metal protection in cooling tower products, engine coolants, metal working fluids, inks and cleaners. The solution is soluble in water, benzene, toluene, chloroform, and miscible with lower alcohol and ethylene glycol.
